Genesis 6:5, “But Yahweh saw how extremely wicked humanity had become, for they imagined only evil, for all they thought about was doing evil all the time.” (TPT)

If you haven’t realized or understood the outstanding, enormous and scary potentials and capacity of your mind and by extension your IMAGINATION, then, you are either sitting on a keg of gunpowder or gold deposit without knowing. And what is that that is said about ignorance again? Ignorance they say is a disease. In fact, the Bible says in Proverbs 19:2 that, “also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge,
And he sins who hastens with his feet.”

Dear child of God, why did I think the potentials of your mind and imagination is SCARY? Please, read this slowly, “never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)

Beloved, this scripture confirms that, God is not just CAPABLE, but also WILLING to do, work out or ACCOMPLISH your unbelievable dreams or wildest imaginations. Isn’t that scary to you? This is an awesome responsibility indeed. And maybe where you are at right now that you are actually complaining about is God accomplishing the NEGATIVE, fearful and pessimistic imaginations you have created and NURSED in your heart in the past.

This was why according to today’s scripture, God had to take a sad, undesirable and inconvenient but very proactive and practical decision and action to destroy the whole world in the time of Noah. Are you still shocked? The Bible says, “…they imagined only evil, for all they thought about was doing evil all the time.” So, as co-creators with God, the only MENTAL materials the people were presenting to God to work with or build their lives both present and future on, was negative or evil. And God knew that if He acted on those thoughts or imaginations, that will be chaos.

This is the main reason why you need to deliberately CENSOR your imaginations. But what does it mean to censor? Simply put, to censor means to pay very close and keen attention to something, or someone, so you can carefully observe, in order to correctly and adequately monitor, screen or filter. So, it can be PERFECT or free from impurities. So, what can we consider as IMPURITIES? These should be imaginations or thoughts which are NEGATIVE, evil or contrary to God’s word or will for your destiny or any area of your life. It can also be any thought or mental picture which will be unwanted, unpleasant or undesirable to you if it becomes your future reality. That is, if God makes it to happen to and for you.

That means, be very careful. If you don’t like it or won’t want it either now or in your future, then, never THINK or imagine it. Why? Because, your imagination is not just a mental trip. Why? Because, it is a very powerful and potent prayer; “where the mind goes, the man goes.” So, whether positive or negative, win or lose, good or bad, gain or loss…”wherever your mind goes, your life will certainly follow suit and eventually go too.” Except of course, God intentionally refuses to act on or GRANT that your negative or evil imaginations. Selah!
