Title: Creating Positive Imagination

Thursday. 08
May, 2025

Colossians 3:16, “Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.” (AMPc)

The focus of today’s nugget is how to ensure that your imaginations work for you and not against you, since it’s now crystal clear that, God’s mighty power activates and makes our imaginations become realities. However, God didn’t say only your positive or scriptural imaginations will be realized.

The Bible said in Genesis 11:6 that, “and the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now NOTHING will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” (AkJV) Emphasis mine. Did you notice the emphasis is “nothing?”

Dear friend, there is however no need to panic. Why? Though it is a Herculean task, thinking or creating the right or positive imaginations every other day is still a possibility. The Bible says in Philippians 4:8 that, “finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

This scripture hands down a very robust template of what should be the framework, fabrics and foundation of your thoughts and imaginations if you intend to keep them positive and thereby keep your life free and safe from unwanted and unpleasant happenings. After all, now you know that, whatever happens to you both now and in the future, is TRACEABLE to and most certainly a product of your own past thoughts or imaginations.

Beloved, this is why you need to religiously follow and obey today’s scripture. And the main instruction there is, “let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness,…” And this is not going to happen automatically just because you are a Christian and you attend church. No!

You must be DELIBERATE and intentional about taking the responsibility to STOCK your heart and mind with the word of Jesus the Messiah just as you intentionally go shopping to stock your fridge and house with the kind of HEALTHY and nourishing food stuff you love eating. You don’t just go shopping and fill your house with unhealthy junk in the name of, “there must be food at home,” or do you? I don’t think so. Otherwise, you signed your own death warrant.

Dear child of God, in the same way, not every word or message should be available to you or consumed by you. Only the ones that are the words of Jesus the Messiah should be your target. Why? Because, that is what can CONSISTENTLY help you create the right thoughts and imaginations that align and agree with the word and will of God for your life over each and every area of your life. Read today’s scripture in the BBE version. It says, “let the word of Christ be in you in all wealth of wisdom;…”

Notice the opening word is always “LET.” That is a verb, an action word. And it means you are responsible to FILTER or screen what gains access into your heart and mind. Once it doesn’t align with what Jesus said or would say about you or your situation, BLOCK it. Why? Because, it will later become MATERIAL for your imagination. And if that imagination is wrong or negative, then, your reality will also be wrong or negative. Selah!
