Title: There's Room for You Too

Psalms 23:1&5, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

In many cultures and homes,.meal times are very special. They are not just time to be fed, but they are time to bond, recreate, reconnect, unwind and truly reconnect. I don’t know your experience, but meal times are SACRED because, they forge love and continuity in a family, no matter how large or small the family is. This is why, most mothers cherish and honour the meal table so much. And you have to be a special or cherished family or friend to be invited to meals.

And in some cultures and homes, missing meal times is a serious offense. It’s a big sign of disrespect and dishonour; a misdemeanor or even a SACRILEGE. Even if you are the father, the very principal of the home, you dare not miss the meal time without a concrete reason and appropriate notice or excuse. Why? The reason is simple. Because, there’s a portion already allotted and prepared for you. And your seat being empty isn’t just you not eating. It means your flavour and contribution at the table that time will be missed and your absence felt.

Dear child of God, this is because, every member of the family is considered special and important. And most times, it’s at meal time that families get to catch up with gist about each other’s day; to fill others in about the progress, failures, challenges and threats. You have the funny ones who can turn a simple request of “please, pass me the sauce” into a beautiful song, poem or joke. Or that person that can look for trouble by either distracting others so as to steal from their plates or fill it with stuff he or she doesn’t want to eat.

Beloved, don’t feel left out or unwanted because you are seeing MOST people around you testifying. You are a part of God’s family and so, you have a seat at God’s table and you too will be SERVED your miracles, breakthroughs and testimonies. A wise person said, “when your friend, neighbor or family member gets a breakthrough or gets blessed. Rejoice because, it means, God is in your neighborhood and you’re next in line or at least sure that the wave of blessing will eventually get to you.”

Dear friend, let me hasten to say and REASSURE you that, God isn’t a PARTIAL God. So, if you’re truly and genuinely His child, there’s room for you too at His table of blessing and there’s provisions already made for you; you SHALL be fed too. No matter how long it may seems to you, it will eventually be your turn to be served blessings too.

Please, just concentrate on two things. One, building and keeping your faith or expectation alive and strong because, “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” And, “now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Second, thanking God in advance. Knowing that faithful is He that promised, who will also do it. Hallelujah!
