Title: Be Discrete About Judging Others

Wed 30th
April 2025

Matthew 7:5, “Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

One similarity between the Christian faith and other religions and acclaimed faith in the world is the quest to proselytize or gain new followings. However, unlike most others, the method and strategy of proselytizing or gaining new followers to Christianity is through WITNESSING, preaching, sharing or evangelizing.

What this means essentially is that, based on the meaning of the word WITNESS, every person who has personally experienced the genuine SAVING grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, is required to share his or her own first-person or first-hand life changing or transforming experience with other people in his or her circles, starting from those in his or her immediate environment and then reaching unto the farthest part of the earth.

Dear friend, this MANDATE is sacrosanct and inseparable to your salvation experience if it is true and genuine. Why? If truly you crossed over from the darkness of sin and ignorance into the light of righteousness and knowledge of the only son of God, you will need no further motivation to share your PRISON BREAK with others around you who are still dead and imprisoned in sin, though it’s a spiritual state.

In Mark 16;15, Jesus instructed that, “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Why? Because, anytime you hear the word GOSPEL, it means good news and there’s nothing like hearing a good news from the horse’s mouth. And there’s no better news than the news of the mission and life of Jesus Christ to all of humanity. But there’s a problem. And the problem is, like the attitude of the Fulani nomad cattle headers. When offered medications for any illness, before they will accept and pay, they will often demand for a witness’s report or reassurance. They will ask the Pharmacist, “have you tried this medication before and what was your experience?”

Beloved, this same reasonable disposition to QUERY authenticity and potency is what confronts and faces the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere and every time anyone tries to witness it to others, especially people in your circle. This challenge is what is being addressed by today’s scripture. And as a child of God who claims to be born again and a new creation in Christ Jesus, do you realize that, there’s an invincible microphone in your hand and to your mouth everywhere you go?

Do you know you’re now a light to the world and a city set on the hill that can never be hidden? Do you realize that, even without opening your mouth to speak, preach or witness to anybody, your life and living is preaching very loudly to people in your various circles? Are you a genuine and effective witness or a HYPOCRITE ON THE MICROPHONE? Are people ALWAYS seeing crumbs or specks of sin in your own eyes and life while you’re desperately trying to remove log of sin from other people’s eyes?

So, let me ask you, what is your mouth or life witnessing to people out there? Can they clearly see that, truly your life demonstrates and CONFIRMS the power of the gospel to change people from sin and liberate from darkness? Is your LIGHT shining and showing people around you the way out of their darkness and ignorance? If they choose to follow or COPY you, would they find the saviour and escape from the prison of sin and eternal death or will they sink deeper into sin and DAMNATION? Selah!
